About us

Remesla (remesla.com.ua) is an online marketplace built for Ukrainian artisans and for everyone who values things made by hand. It brings together work from many crafts — ceramics and pottery, jewellery, leather and textile goods, candles, handmade cosmetics, home décor, toys, clothing and accessories — from makers in cities and villages across Ukraine.

There are two kinds of products on Remesla. Most are sold by independent sellers — makers, manufacturers and entrepreneurs who list their products and ship orders themselves. Some products are sold by Remesla directly. The seller of each product is shown on its page.

For independent sellers, our job is to provide a convenient storefront and the tools to sell, and to give buyers an easy way to find the maker and buy directly from them.

A product page shows photos, a description, the price, options (if any), the payment and delivery methods, the seller, and reviews from other buyers. From the workshop page you can browse all of the seller’s products.

• A catalogue by category, plus search and filters — by city, item condition and attributes.
• Ordering in a few steps, with signing up optional. An order email is sent to the address you enter, and if you are signed in, the order also appears in «My purchases».
• Reviews checked by a moderator, and seller ratings.
• The seller’s contacts once the order is confirmed, so you can agree on payment and hand-over.

For a maker, Remesla is their own workshop page, products with photos, attributes and options, orders in «My sales», reviews and a rating, and posts where they can tell the story behind their work.

To list a product you need an account with a confirmed email and phone number. Publishing and managing products is free. The seller pays the marketplace commission only when accepting an order from the cart; it is not added to the price of the goods. See «Balance and commission» in the Help Centre for details.

Products from independent sellers: the sale contract is concluded directly between buyer and seller. The seller is responsible for product quality, shipping and returns, and the parties agree payment and delivery using the methods the seller has listed.

Products sold by Remesla: the Remesla operator is the party to the contract. We accept and confirm orders, are responsible for product quality and accuracy of the description, arrange delivery — ourselves or through the manufacturer or supplier — and accept returns.

Payment, delivery and return rules are the same for all sellers. We monitor compliance, handle buyer complaints and may restrict the account of a seller who breaks them. See the «Payment and shipping» and «Return policy» pages for details.

Every product is moderated before it is published: we check that it follows the marketplace rules. For products from independent sellers this is not a guarantee of the quality of each item, but it is how we keep the catalogue honest and clear.
