Safety recommendations
Inspecting and receiving the goods, paying safely, signs of fraud, and what to do when a deal looks doubtful.
In short
Pay after inspecting the goods or after a clear agreement, do not transfer the full amount blindly, and meet in busy places. Report a suspicious listing to support via «Contacts».
Inspection and receipt
- Where possible, inspect the goods in person before paying or immediately after receiving them.
- Arrange meetings in busy, well-lit places.
- Check that the goods match the description, photos and attributes from the listing.
- Received an order placed on the site? Click «Confirm receipt» in «My purchases».
Payment
- Payment for the goods happens directly between buyer and seller. Remesla is not a payment intermediary and does not hold funds during the deal.
- Avoid a full prepayment to an unfamiliar seller without a clear agreement; where possible choose payment on receipt.
- Be alert if you are asked to pay «via a link» outside the agreed method.
- Never share a CVV, passwords or SMS codes — they are not needed to receive a payment.
Signs of fraud
- A price far below the market one with no reasonable explanation.
- Pressure, artificial scarcity and rushing you into a prepayment.
- A request to move to a third-party site or app «for a safe deal».
- An empty profile with no other listings and no contacts, and a refusal to talk on the phone.
If something goes wrong
Stop communicating and report it to support through the «Contacts» page. Add a link to the listing or the order number — that way we check the situation and act faster.
